Materials Testing
3rd Rock's material testing includes analysis of geosynthetic landfill liners, elastomeric concrete, and sealant. Our state-of-the-art equipment and sample production allow us to manufacture test specimens (i.e. elastomeric concrete, foam, and adhesives) and test the specimens in this facility, specifically Compressive Strength (ASTM D695) and Tensile Strength (ASTM D638). This maintains the integrity of the samples in the correct environmental conditions providing better results.

Aggregate Testing
3rd Rock provides aggregate testing for material suppliers, contractors, engineering firms and government agencies. We can assist our clients with finding suitable material sources, or confirming that in-place materials meet technical specifications. 3rd Rock provides a unique permeability test using a large scale permeameter for gravel testing (ASTM D2434).

Our testing personnel have many years of experience. Our laboratory is recognized foremost for our outstanding client service and responsiveness. Laboratory staff are active members of ASTM International and have served as officers of Committee D18 (Testing of Soil and Rock).
